Overall, I am happy with how the Catwalk shoot went. I think my time management could have been better as I spent quite a lot of time on the hair and consequently my tribal tattoo designs were compromised when I had to rush the final part of my look. With this being said I am very happy with my hair skills for this look as previously I have felt my hair looks havent been as interesting as my makeup designs.
This angle did not work as well because of the way I positioned the tattoos, Not only did they turn out less refined as I would have hoped, but here they have made my models shoulders appear broader and for a Catwalk look, this isn't the best idea.
If I was going to repeat the look again I would make the makeup more bold, so it can be seen from a distance by viewers of the Catwalk. for example I think the slash in the hair, though I love it, should be thicker and slightly longer, the crystals on the cheeks, which are great for a beauty look could be darker so the shape is more visible. I chose a natural lip colour because my research showed tribal women as having lovely skin and lips but if I am going to have the natural lip I think having more colour on the alluring eyes would have worked better.
I really like this pose,as I feel it conveys the thoughtful amazonian warrior that I wanted, but unfortunately during shooting there was a shadow/ some images came out blurred.
Here, I think the reveal of the neck is great, maybe I could have tried having the model hold her neck to exagerate this, however as this is my catwalk look maybe a stronger, more defined, face on angle would be more appropriate.
Above and below are my favourite images, I just think my model photographs particularly well at this angle and the overall image looks really beautiful/pure. To me it is clear I have research the African American Tribesmen and although I would make changes if I were to repeat the shoot, the hair, makeup and styling do compliment eachother, and all contribute to the successful outcome of this Catwalk Look.
