Above I started with the previous headdress I'd made. I separated the coloured wool strands with the white strands. I then stitched the coloured wool down to a red felt backing, leaving the white strands loose.
I added some ribbon to the stitched down wool to add more layers and depth to the garment so it would appear more luxurious and catwalk. Then with this as the base, I bent the white wool over the top and covered with a sheer red material. This way all the layers are still visible for interest and texture but the whole piece overall appeared red. I sealed the top with red velvet ribbon, stitching it together so all the layers were compressed into one.
To add more of a tribal feel to my accessory, I added thin brown leather ropes with beads on top of the of the sheer material and beading to the ribbon for a richer, decorative feel.
