Experimenting with my first tribal makeup!

Layers of colour on the face and body - I like how I have extended the makeup down the neck and shoulders.

Experimenting with twists and braids in the hair to create a WILD look.

I took photos of the makeup in stages to see how far I could push the look before it went too far!

I'm enjoying the fact my makeup was not symmetrical, I feel this makes it more interesting

I like how intense the colour is, maybe use earthy colours in my next makeup,

I dislike how unpolished the finish is,  (BUT not too bad for a first attempt)

I like the height of the hait however I think I could push this further - taller - bigger - or maybe encorporating some accessories - push push push my hair skills!

  1. I think this is a great first attempt, although I would have like to have seem some design development on paper also.

Your use of colour and shape is a clearly considered approach. And yes, layering the colour down the neck and shoulders is extremely important here. What products did you use?

The hair is a very good start but I think you need more visual research to give you a clearer appreciation of the intricately applied details at your disposal.
