ORLAN- American Indian Self-hybridations

I really like the painterly quality of this body of Orlan's work! 


It's inspiring to see all the different poses in her images - something to experiment with!!

  
Such fine detailing - could make an image look very expensive as well as tribal - high fashion shot - all about accessorising!!


Also Orlan and what she is famous for - facial reconstruction. Taking bits away, adding bits on, facial implants - textures/layers/3D aspects on the skin - face or body?

    Wonderful! This is an intriguing and innovative approach. Using body modification in conjunction with face/hair decoration is definitely the approach I think you should also take.

    Well done for finding this body of work by Orlan. I haven't seen this before.
